There’s something to be said about the end of the day…
Watching the sun set below the distant horizon gives way for deep reflection.
I reflect on my day: How well did I live? How happy did I act? How kind was I to the beings I encountered? Did I surrender to the moment, or did I let my mind wander? Did I give thanks for the simple things? Did I live and love as well as I could?
As the sun dips low, whispering a sweet ‘good night’, sometimes I feel satisfaction, other times my heart feels heavy. It’s lightness I crave. Lightness, even in the darkness of night. Lightness of being a light being. Lightness of the sun in its final moments to shine, to inspire, to radiate its warmth on all who pause long enough to witness it.
Be light, my friends.
And watch the sunset tonight.
