Giving up a few things & taking a few in their place.
Any easy mistake is getting wayyy too ambitious all at once & then feeling discouraged when it all cannot be done.
So learn to approach this in a new way.
Starting now, with a sense of discipline & determination
make an intention each day to give one thing up & replace it with something else.
And figuring out what to give & what to take, by seriously asking yourself
what makes me feel good? What makes me feel bad?
And setting the intention to choose that which makes you feel good.
Moment after moment.
Practicing intentional self love.
My first intention is to eat mindfully.
before I begin a mindless sugar binge
& instead choose to practice yoga in the kitchen first.
Maybe some asana, maybe some breathing, maybe sitting meditation.
And bring that grace learned in yoga to my practice of eating a meal.
Drinking a little water.
Using all my senses to
this nourishing food I am about to put into my body.
And this presence to eating is meditation.
Everything we put into our bodies becomes us.
And the intention within which we put it into ourselves has a direct effect on our quality of energy.
When you consume higher quality foods with positive intention you body simply feels better. And you begin to be able to feel how food makes you feel all the time.
How do I feel when I eat true to my being?
