A good friend told me yesterday when she can’t find a safe space physically, she is comforted in knowing there is always a safe space in her mind. I really gravitated toward this idea & was able to imagine this internal space in the brain one could go to find safety.
But the more I thought about it, I realized there have been many instances I have been unable to find that safe space in my own mind. Whether it be filled with anxiety, judgement, negativity, or just too much thought itself, there didn’t seem to be room in that space for solace.
That’s when I felt my heart beat & knew my truest sacred safe space to be within my heart. This center is where we can always go to be loved, supported, heard, accepted, held, SAFE. Cultivating an essential deep connection with our heart allows us direct access to our inner wisdom, intuition, & Truth.
TO CONNECT WITH YOUR HEART
Close the eyes & place both hands over your chest. Begin to deepen the breath & bring a gentle awareness to the pulsing, vibrant, loving energy beneath the hands. Trust the wisdom that radiates here.
Say to yourself “YES” and FEEL what that feels like to you. Say to yourself “NO” and feel what that feels like. Learn to trust those instinctual answers to any question, decision, or action. Your heart knows what is right & what is wrong for YOU.
Give gratitude to your beating heart, and feel that gratitude expand through your entire being. Remember this sacred safe space is always accessible to you no matter where you are physically or mentally or emotionally. Connect with this space on a regular basis & see how it can transform your being.
